9640A RF Reference Source Firmware Upgrade
There are three different firmware updates available for the 9640A product range. Instruments can only be updated with firmware at the same major firmware version. That is instruments with 1.xx can only have another version of 1.xx installed on it, 2.xx can only have another version of 2.xx installed on it and 3.xx can only have another version of 3.xx installed on it.

Please review the firmware on your 9640 before selecting the appropriate download link above. (The firmware version is displayed when the instrument is powered on or can be found by pressing the ‘SETUP’ key on the front of the instrument.)

Download instructions and a list of firmware revision history, new features and resolved issues for the upgrade versions are documented at the link below. You will be asked to complete a brief product registration form before going to the download page for the first time. You will be asked to complete the form even if you have previously registered your 9640A.
