1523 and 1524 Reference Thermometers Demo Video
Transcript
Hi, thanks for clicking our link on the 1523 and 1524 readouts. My name’s Travis Porter. I work in sales for Fluke Calibration. Let me give you a quick rundown of our two units here. I’ve actually got the 1524 but we do have a 1523 that is a single channel, so this is our dual channel guy. The great thing about these units is they do utilize our INFOCON connector technology, which allows for quick plug and play between multiple probes, so it allows a user to go between multiple applications without having to stop, reprogram or enter coefficients. You can also get our universal TC adapter, which you can program for multiple types of TCs throughout the base metal TCs. Here I’ve got a couple of Ks to just kind of show you a quick demonstration.
Let’s just show you how this works. The unit’s on and powered up. What I’ve got here is a thermistor probe, again, it’s already pre-programmed. You plug in and play and now here we’re ready to go. Now if our application changes, and we need to go for, say, a higher temp application where a RTD is required, now I’ve got my RTD probe here, I’m going to plug and play as well, same thing and we’ve immediately switched over and now we’re ready to take, say, a higher temp reading.
For the thermocouples, again we’ve got our universal TC adapter. So there’s a little more to it than just plug and play because it is programmable. So again, right now this is programmed for Type K so you can take any type of our Type K probes. Simply plug in; it’s pre-programmed for the type K but if you need to change it to a J or T or something else, you would use our software to basically tell it what you’re going to connect. And again you plug in and you’re ready to go. And again if there is an application where you’re measuring a device under test that is a thermocouple, again say your reference standard which could be the PRT. Now you’ve got your dual setup and ready to log and take data.
So that’s just a quick rundown of the unit. If you have any other questions for us, please email me or our team, sales@flukecal.com, or give us a look on the web, it’s www.flukecal.com. Thanks.
